National Lift Truck Helps Construction of World’s Largest Starbucks
Many people have heard of the opening of the world’s largest Starbucks, in downtown Chicago. With its five floors and 35,000 square feet and an outdoor rooftop, the Chicago Starbucks Reserve Roastery is now the largest Starbucks in the world. National Lift Truck Inc. of Franklin Park, Ill., has been a big part of this project.
The company stored all the brewing equipment while construction was taking place and delivered the equipment on site for the final installation by the Dennis Group, which has been tasked with receiving and installing all of the coffee processing equipment for the new Starbucks Reserve Chicago Roastery on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue) over the course of the last nine months.
“The logistics of downtown Chicago did not lend itself to normal deliveries of any kind,” said Bob Borsch, the Dennis Group construction manager. “We were in need of an off-site warehouse whereby we could have our vendors drop ship major equipment to be stored temporarily. Tony Cannata, Jose Perez and the entire team of professionals at National Lift Truck were there for us from day one of our contract with them. They were able to support our ‘just in time’ delivery needs, even if same day delivery was required. They played a major role in the overall success of the project and we couldn’t have done it without them.”
Additionally, National Lift Truck has been now contracted to provide material handling equipment rental services for this now world-famous Chicago newest tourist attraction.
