National Trench Safety LLC, a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, as well as OSHA-compliant training classes, has acquired certain operating assets of Shore and Pour based in Chinnor, England, near London.

“We are extremely excited to be expanding our presence in England,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS. “Gary daLuz Vieria, owner and founder of Shore and Pour, is a personal friend and he’s built a good business servicing the Southern U.K. market that we believe will serve as a strong platform for our future growth. We’ve been very diligent in our planning for the United Kingdom market, beginning with the opening of our first depot in Leeds last year. The ability to acquire certain operating assets of Shore and Pour allows us to continue to press forward with our aggressive growth plan in the United Kingdom.”

The Chinnor operation will be managed by Patrick Flannery, National Trench Safety UK’s managing director, and a well-regarded trench safety veteran. “Pat has done a tremendous job of introducing NTS to the marketplace,” said Chilton. “Pat has been able to deftly blend some of our market leading products in the U.S. with traditional products offered in England, to provide some real game-changing solutions for the customer base in England.”

The Chinnor operation will be NTS’ second operation in England and the company’s 35th branch location in the United States and England. This large national footprint allows NTS to provide its national, regional and local market customers a fully integrated, international branch network delivering unique engineered solutions, the highest level of customer service and the most cost effective shoring solutions in the industry. In maintaining its objective of building a nationwide network of trench and traffic safety branches, NTS plans to open several additional branch locations in the U.S. in 2019 and at least one additional U.K.-based depot in 2019.
