Sunbelt Rentals Inc. announced in partnership with LA28 and Team USA that it will serve as the rental equipment solutions and services provider for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The partnership represents an instrumental next step in LA28’s unique venue infrastructure program, which relies on temporary venues and temporary overlays on existing permanent venues. This collaboration will leverage Sunbelt’s capabilities and resources to support the planning, design and delivery of Los Angeles’ Olympic and Paralympic Games venues to host world-class competitions.

“We’re proud to be an official partner to LA28 on this project as we work together to build and power the infrastructure for athletes to compete on the world stage,” said Brendan Horgan, president and CEO of Sunbelt Rentals. “Sunbelt is well-equipped to provide end-to-end support for LA28 through our talented team, breadth of experience and vast network of products and solutions, all while living out our shared values of sustainability, safety and innovation. We’re looking forward to bringing these venues to life with our deep expertise in entertainment and sporting events and ability to execute at-scale.”

Sunbelt Rentals has a network of more than 1,400 locations across North America, including 35 in the greater Los Angeles area and an expansive portfolio of products and services. Sunbelt will provide comprehensive equipment solutions to deliver the LA28 Games, including power & HVAC, heavy equipment, ground protection, temporary fencing and scaffold, and will have dedicated team members deployed to deliver through the Games’ conclusion.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Sunbelt team to progress our mission toward a no-permanent-build Games, grounded in sustainable operations and seamless integration in the areas that house LA28 venues,” said LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover. "LA28's goal is to deliver a safe, circular, and efficient buildout of our competition venues, and we are excited that Sunbelt, with its strong presence in the Los Angeles community, will help us meet these goals. Together, we’re bringing an innovative approach to this complex project to support the athletes, fans, team members and the LA community as we celebrate the talents of our home and visiting teams.”

Los Angeles will become the third city ever to host three Olympic Games, following 1932 and 1984, and will also host its first ever Paralympic Games.
