Customers of tool and equipment rental stores using Point of Rental’s Elite RMS are about to get a major ecommerce upgrade. The company’s new Elite storefront is designed to deliver a faster, smarter, and more intuitive online shopping experience.

Consumers can now see real-time item availability, compare items, view suggested add-ons, and check out with ease. On the backend, rental teams benefit from streamlined customer communication, simplified payment collection, and more opportunities to upsell.

It also integrates with Elite’s Consumer Portal, automatically creating new contacts or connecting to previous customer records to ensure seamless access and account management. Logged-in contract customers can even see their specific contracted rates.

“This is more than a storefront; it’s a shift in how rental businesses connect with their customers. We’re empowering stores to meet today’s expectations and lead the industry into the future,” said Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris.

At the heart of the new storefront is Product Supercharger, part of Point of Rental’s Rental Intelligence (RI) suite. Supercharger uses a product’s make and model number to automatically generate SEO-friendly full product descriptions and short descriptions. This increases organic traffic to online catalogs while giving consumers product insights that are comprehensive, compelling, and easy to read.

The new storefront is now available for general tool and equipment rental businesses. Point of Rental is actively expanding functionality to support event rental businesses, with enhancements underway to handle item packages, large inventory quantities, and additional complexities. A full-industry rollout is expected in the coming months.
