Point of Rental Software has launched its first AI-powered feature within its rental management systems. Product Detail Supercharger is a tool designed to help rental businesses write detailed, accurate, and easy-to-read equipment descriptions with minimal effort.
Supercharger generates comprehensive equipment listings, complete with short and long descriptions, and specifications. All a user needs to enter is a make and model; they don’t even have to leave the product description page within their software.
“Rental businesses shouldn’t have to spend hours researching and writing catalog descriptions,” said Matt Gaffin, Point of Rental’s head of AI. “With Product Detail Supercharger, you’re not just saving time; you’re delivering a better customer experience, faster.”
Product Detail Supercharger joins Record360’s AI Blur Detection as the company’s second AI product. AI Blur Detection ensures inspections are documented clearly by flagging blurry images before they’re saved—helping staff capture clean, court-ready evidence of equipment condition the first time. It’s already flagged more than a million blurry photos since being added in 2024, the company said.
With AI features in all of the company’s products, today marks the beginning of a Rental Intelligence feature suite that will enhance rental operations through thoughtful, business-ready automation.
“It’s the first step in a much broader strategy to bring practical, trustworthy AI tools to the rental industry,” added Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris. “We’re not adding AI for the sake of it. We’re solving real problems for rental professionals who want to work faster, smarter, and with confidence.”
RI-powered tools will be accurate, practical, and grounded in real-world rental workflows. Because AI-generated errors can erode consumer trust, Point of Rental is taking a curated approach, training its models on reliable sources and ensuring customers retain control and visibility into the content AI produces.
