Sinoboom has launched the AB15J Plus articulating boom lift, successor to its AB15J model, introducing a range of extra beneficial features designed to appeal to fleet owners and operators alike. It is the first of Sinoboom’s diesel-powered articulating boom lifts to be available in Europe, providing customers with more choice for rough-terrain equipment.

Upgrades include an increased platform loading capacity, now 300 kg compared to 250 kg, allowing operators to carry more tools and materials, helping to drive up working efficiency. Efficiency is also enhanced by the introduction of an active oscillation function which operates in both stowed and raised positions and enhances climbing ability, and continuous turntable rotation, allowing for greater flexibility on complex work sites.

Under the hood, further changes have been made. The function pump has been exchanged from a gear to a piston pump, enabling enhanced oil flow and higher oil pressure, improving the function of the multi-boom and enhancing operational efficiency and flexibility. The boom lift is equipped with a Kubota 18kW engine, which complies to European Stage V and North American Tier 4 emissions regulations, among others.

The lower-power engine is simpler to maintain than those of many other boom lifts in the same class, helping to decrease total cost of ownership. Performance is not compromised, the manufacturer said. The machine’s hydraulic system efficiency improvements allow for 40 percent gradeability and good driving performance on muddy job sites.

“We are constantly seeking to introduce technical upgrades to our range, and listen closely to our customers regarding the features they want to see,” said Steven Liu, chairman of Sinoboom. “The upgraded AB15J Plus allows for even greater flexibility in the field, helping operators to work efficiently and with less worry about downtime.”
