Blount

Blount introduces the new Oregon PowerNow 40V MAX cordless battery-powered chain saw. Equipped with a 14-inch bar, the PowerNow chain saw is designed to power through multiple floor joists, roofing trusses, glue-lam beams and get into difficult-to-reach spaces. The 11-pound saw is quieter than gas-powered chain saws in use and is silent between cuts. The lithium-ion battery pack holds a charge for months when not in use, according to the maker.

CS Unitec

CS Unitec's PowerGrit air chain saw is designed for utility, municipal, construction and industrial pipe-cutting applications. The saw allows the user to cut from one position unlike abrasive cut-off saws that require the operator to maneuver the saw 360 degrees around the pipe. Special patented diamond segments grind rather than tear the material, which reduces vibration and eliminates kickback for a precise, clean cut in less time. The PowerGrit air chain saw has a cutting capacity of up to 20 inches in diameter.

Husqvarna

Husqvarna's new CS 10 electric wire saw, uses components from Husqvarna's WS 440 HF and WS 482 HF electric wall saws to create a flexible saw system for cutting through larger concrete structures. The CS 10 is designed to be easily coupled to the wall saw's operating unit, track and power supply so switching between a wall saw and wire saw is quick and easy. The saw unit can be mounted on either side of the wall saw track and the wire can be rotated in both directions making it more flexible. Wire speed can be varied depending on wire type and the material to be cut for optimal performance.

Power is supplied by an 11-hp Honda engine equipped with a Cyclone-type air filter system for maximum protection against fine-grained dust contamination. A center-mounted blade configuration allows the CS8 to center pivot about its own axis to more easily follow random crack patterns.
