National crane rental and rigging provider Maxim Crane Works received the delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 mobile crane at Conexpo 2026 last week. This is the first crane of its kind to be delivered in the United States, Liebherr said.

Maxim Crane Works is a coast-to-coast provider of comprehensive lifting services. The company specializes in renting heavy-lift equipment, including hydraulic truck cranes, rough terrain cranes, crawler cranes, tower cranes, conventional truck cranes, and boom trucks. Maxim also serves various industries, including industrial manufacturing, infrastructure, and commercial building.

With more than 50 locations across the United States, each Maxim branch can provide management, rigging, engineering, transportation, and outsourcing.

Redefined mobility

The Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 mobile crane is the lightest 3-axle all-terrain crane on the market and despite its lightweight design still delivers a 65-U.S. ton lifting capacity. This crane is also equipped with the latest in Liebherr crane control software, LICCON3, taking the familiar crane control to the next level by revising and simplifying display information for operators. Liebherr all-terrain cranes allow for flexibility on the jobsite and on the road, with many models like the LTM 1055-3.3 making costly and restrictive driving permits a thing of the past. This crane also allows for more precise maneuvering thanks to its RemoteDrive system, allowing the crane to be controlled from outside the cab via radio remote control.

Liebherr USA Co. is based in Newport News, Va., provides sales and service on behalf of 10 different Liebherr product segments: earthmoving, material handling, mining, mobile and crawler cranes, tower cranes, concrete technology, deep foundation machines, maritime cranes; components, and refrigeration and freezing. Maxim Crane Rental Corp. is No. 9 on the RER 100.
