Bigge Crane Buys New Tadano and Kobelco Cranes at Conexpo
Crane rental specialist Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. added one of North America's first 2023 Tadano Mantis GTC-2000 telecrawlers to its fleet in a formal handoff last week at ConExpo 2023. The new crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 172 US tons. The GTC-2000 fills a unique capacity gap between the 130 and 220-ton class telecrawler. It's ability to work at both symmetrical and asymmetrical track widths with strong charts makes it especially versatile for real-world lifting applications.
"We are excited to continue our long-standing partnership with Tadano," said Weston Settlemier, CEO of Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. "The addition of this new GTC-2000 represents our commitment to providing the very best equipment for our customers." For more information on the GTC-2000 telecrawler, visit Bigge.com.
The company also acquired an all-new Kobelco CK2000G-3 crawler crane.
“I intend to add 20 CK2000 crawlers to our Perfect Fleet as soon as Kobelco can deliver the cranes. Kobelco crawlers are the most reliable cranes in our 300-crane crawler fleet. This size crane is the perfect replacement for our older 14000 and HC 275 crawler cranes," said Settlemier.
The Kobelco CK2000G-3 features a maximum lifting capacity of 200 tons, a 10-percent improvement compared to the CK2000-II and fits between its 160- and 275-ton crawler class. It features an advanced control system that allows for precise load positioning and an adjustable boom configuration to meet a wide range of job site requirements.
