Canadian Rental Association Launches Canadian Rental Week: A Celebration of the Rental Industry
The Canadian Rental Association (CRA) announced the first annual Canadian Rental Week, a nationwide initiative designed to raise awareness of the rental industry and celebrate its significant contributions to Canada’s economy. The event, which aligns with global Rental Weeks as part of CRA’s collaboration with the Global Rental Alliance, will take place from October 15 to October 18, 2024.
The week-long event will focus on three key themes aimed at engaging industry professionals, consumers, and potential new talent:
1. #whyrent – A social media campaign highlighting the benefits of renting, encouraging consumers, and businesses alike to embrace rental solutions. Participants are invited to share and repost content on Facebook and LinkedIn to amplify the message that renting is a smart and sustainable choice.
2. #careersinrental – Showcasing the rental industry as a fantastic career path. CRA is calling on individuals to share 30-second video clips explaining how they got their start in the industry or offering advice for newcomers. These clips will be featured in a national campaign targeting colleges, employment agencies, and industry associations.
3. #relationshipsinrental – Celebrating the camaraderie within the rental industry, CRA is collecting stories of meaningful connections formed between peers and competitors. These stories will be shared on social media, the CRA website, and in future newsletters, highlighting the collaborative spirit that defines the industry.
To further mark the occasion, CRA will host an Open House at its head office in Stoney Creek, Ontario, on October 16th from 4 PM to 7 PM. This event will offer networking opportunities for rental professionals, partners, and industry leaders, helping to foster new relationships and strengthen existing ones.
