Empower Rental Group Opens in Tupelo, Miss., the Company’s 36th Location

Empower Rental Group, an expanding equipment rental company, opened its 36th location in Tupelo, Miss. The president, Luke Sheffield, one of the founders of ERG, is originally from Tupelo.
“Returning to my roots and bringing our business to this vibrant southern town fills me with a sense of pride and nostalgia,” said Sheffield. “Our team is enthusiastic about serving the community we still call home in Mississippi.”
ERG already has a successful location in Flowood, Miss., known as Rankin Rentals, Sheffield said. “We firmly believe in the potential for growth and synergy between the Tupelo and Flowood branches. By linking these two locations, we will efficiently serve customers and bridge the geographical gap, ensuring a seamless experience for all contractors and homeowners.”
ERG provides an inventory of aerial equipment, forklifts, earthmoving equipment, small compaction and various other types of construction rental equipment.
The company was founded in 2021 and has grown from three locations to 36. “The growth strategy has been through acquisition, and this will be our very first Empower Rental Group branded location,” said Sheffield.
Sheffield said ERG is the largest independently owned equipment rental company headquartered in the Southeast, with headquarters in Franklin, Tenn. Sheffield said ERG will bring convenience and support to various industries within the region, including industrial plants.
