AED Executive Forum to Focus on Facility Construction, the Economy and More
The Associated Equipment Distributors is once again presenting its annual Executive Forum, providing unique insights into the economy, distribution, management, and more. This year’s Forum, to be held in Schaumburg, Ill., will cover such topics as communicating with Generation Y employees, public policy, new facility construction and the economic outlook for 2016. The keynote speaker will be John McDonough, president and CEO of the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks, who will talk about the re-branding of the Blackhawks and takeaway branding strategies and perspectives.
Ryan Morrison of CDK Global will discuss how leaders gather in the face of adversity, garner the strengths of their teams and know how to come back from behind. Jim Huntzinger of BOK Financial Corp. will discuss where the industry is headed and what businesses can expect out of the markets they serve in the years ahead, identifying trends in a post-recession economy.
A dealer panel will discuss facility overhauls, renovations and expansions. Dealer principals who recently went through expansion will offer tips, tell horror stories and talk about what to avoid and what they did right, helping dealers and rental companies prepare properly for their next growth phases. Another session will discuss different generations working together, how in many cases in today’s workplace it’s younger employees taking over as bosses with the older employees taking the orders. The session will focus on discovering how to convert diversity from an obstacle into an opportunity.
And another session will focus on recruiting executives in the 21st centry, how toi discover sources for finding talent, interview do’s and don’ts of interviewing, pros and cons of pre-hire testing, and techniques for retaining best people.
