Protective Gear Supplier Ritz Safety Acquires Safety Source

Ritz Safety, an industrial safety supply distributor headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, has purchased the assets and business of Safety Source Inc., based in Mobile, Ala.

Ritz Safety, an industrial safety supply distributor headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, has purchased the assets and business of Safety Source Inc., based in Mobile, Ala. Safety Source’s operations include two sales and distribution centers providing safety products and services. The company has served the Gulf Coast region for more than 20 years.

Ritz Safety provides products such as boots, cold weather gear, construction products, eye and face protection, fall protection equipment, gas detectors and meters, safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves, head protection, hearing protection, rain gear, storage and containment, traffic safety, water safety, welding safety equipment and more. With the acquisition of Safety Source, Ritz will continue to position the combined organization as a local, regional, and national supplier to the industrial, agricultural, construction, mining, manufacturing, service, waste, oil and gas, shipbuilding and other industries.

The transaction brings the number of Ritz Safety sales and distribution centers to eight: Pompano Beach, Tampa and Jacksonville, Fla.; Indianapolis; Houston; Las Vegas and Mobile. Ritz supplies more than 5,000 national and international customers monthly, and stocks more than 25,000 safety products.
