B.C. Tent & Awning was recently retained as the equipment provider for America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Parade providing climate-control tenting for the event held in Plymouth, Mass.
B.C. Tent & Awning last month set up tents for VIPS, the craft fair and the New England Food Festival. They also provided staging, fencing and seating for the VIP section of the parade route. The company has worked on the event for a number of years assisting in creating a comfortable environment for participants.
This year’s parade was held on Saturday, Nov. 22, and was part of a weekend of festivities that celebrated U.S. heritage, tradition, history and honored the men and women who serve in the armed forces.
The parade is billed as one of America’s only historically accurate chronological parades, visually bringing to life America’s rich heritage representing each century from the 17th through the 21st. This year’s event featured beautifully decorated floats, nationally recognized Drum and Bugle Corps, re-enactment units from every period of American history and military marching units.
“This has truly become an amazing event for the community and for visitors from all across the world celebrating our national day of Thanksgiving,” said John Costa, president of B.C. Tent & Awning. “The Plymouth Rock Foundation does a wonderful job in keeping the traditions and values of early Americans alive and executive director Olly de Macedo continues to expand the event with top-quality entertainment. We are proud to be a part of this great American event.”
Avon, Mass.-based B.C. Tent & Awning Co., established in 1980, offers a large inventory of rental tents of all sizes, as well as custom awnings, canopies, tables, chairs, lighting and dance floor setups.
