Volvo Rents Acquires SCS Equipment in Texas

Volvo Rents has acquired SCS Equipment a two-location independent equipment rental company with stores in Dallas and Wichita Falls, Texas. Volvo Rents now operates 11 rental centers in Texas, already operating in Arlington, Buda, College Station, McKinney, Pharr, Pflugerville, and Seabrook, with two in Houston.

Volvo Rents has acquired SCS Equipment a two-location independent equipment rental company with stores in Dallas and Wichita Falls, Texas. Volvo Rents now operates 11 rental centers in Texas, already operating in Arlington, Buda, College Station, McKinney, Pharr, Pflugerville, and Seabrook, with two in Houston.

According to a new forecast by economists at HIS Global Insight, Texas will rank second in the U.S. in construction dollars spend from 2011-2016.

SCS Equipment was founded by Mike Price in 1986. Price is expected to remain with Volvo Rents in a sales and consulting role.
