Rent Equip and Bertling Equipment Rental have announced jointly the combination of the two companies into a single entity, creating a unified organization dedicated to serving the equipment rental needs of the entire Central Texas region. This strategic combination brings together two leading independent rental companies in the Austin and San Antonio markets, establishing a powerhouse in equipment rental solutions, said the company in a statement on LinkedIn. Blake Bertling joins the combined company as vice president, Central / South Texas and will also join the board of directors.

Rent Equipment is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with four branches: North Austin and South Austin, Marble Falls and Bee Cave, Texas. Bertling has branches in New Braunfels and Seguin, Texas

Blake Bertling expressed his excitement about the two companies joining forces. “We are incredibly proud of the legacy we’ve built at Bertling Equipment Rental over the past two decades,” he said. “Our success is a testament to the trust of our employees and customers, and to the partnership with my wife, Jennifer. Joining forces with Rent Equip, a company that shares our commitment to excellence, allows us to enhance our service to longtime customers while fueling future growth. We’re thrilled about this partnership and ready to accelerate our mission to 'Keep Texas Growing!'”

“The combination of our two outstanding companies makes so much sense,” said Shane Walsh, Rent Equipment president. “Our complementary fleets, complementary customer bases and complementary geographic coverage make this a win for everyone involved, especially our customers in the Central Texas area. Our immediate focus is to continue providing the same outstanding service and equipment that have become the hallmark of both organizations. We look forward to working with Blake and his team to help keep Texas growing!”

Walsh expects all Bertling Equipment Rental branches will eventually operate under a unified Rent Equip brand. The new company will form one of the largest independent equipment rental companies operating in central Texas. With the completion of this merger, Rent Equip expects to land inside the RER 100, the company said.
