American Trailer Rental Group Makes Strategic Texas Acquisition
American Trailer Rental Group, a group of trailer rental companies, has completed the acquisition of Ervin Equipment’s rental fleet in Laredo, Texas. The deal adds a location in the key south Texas market for the American Trailer Rental Group.
American Trailer Rental Group operates as Meisler Trailer Rental, First in Trailer Service, Fleet Trailer Rental, Advantage Trailer Rental and Arizona Storage Trailer Rental brands with operations in Evansville, Ind., Nashville, and Memphis, Tenn.; Walton and Louisville, Ky.; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Kansas City, Kan.; St. Louis, Mo.; Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Longview, Texas; and Phoenix, Flagstaff and Tucson, Ariz.
American Trailer Rental Group, backed by its equity sponsor Milton Street Capital, is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy rooted in acquisitions and greenfield startups. The acquisition of Ervin is its sixth acquisition since Milton Street’s formation of the group in June 2017. The company now has 17 rental locations and a rental fleet of nearly 16,000 units.
The Laredo location will be part of the company’s Advantage Trailer Rental brand. The Laredo location will be led by Nicole Roberts, who is also general manager of the company’s Austin and San Antonio, Texas, locations. Roberts is a veteran of the trailer business and is fluent in Spanish.
"This important expansion advances our strategic objective to build a national footprint via greenfield developments and strategic acquisitions,” said CEO Jonathan Brooks. “With this location we now have a presence in another key market in Texas."
The deal closed on April 30th.
