Volvo Rents is partnering with Homes for Our Troops in 2012 for the second consecutive year. Volvo Rents will donate construction equipment to build specially adapted homes for injured military who return home from Iraq and Afghanistan with injuries sustained in combat. Currently Volvo Rents is scheduled to help with the build-out of at least 17 homes during 2012.

In 2011, Volvo Rents assisted in the building of more than a dozen homes for injured U.S. troops.

Volvo Rents will also be donating proceeds to the organization when specially painted construction equipment is rented from participating locations. A number of Volvo Rents stores across the country have painted select equipment, including boomlifts and excavators, in the colors of the American flag.

“Based on the reaction and success from our partnership in 2011, we were extremely excited to once again work together with Homes for Our Troops and provide much-needed aid to injured military members,” said Barry Natwick, CEO of Volvo Rents. “As 2012 progresses, we look forward to further growing our partnership with Homes for Our Troops and getting more Volvo Rents locations nationwide involved with this great cause.”

Homes for Our Troops founder John Gonsalves added, “Volvo Rents’ contributions to the Homes for Our Troops program have been immeasurable. We are honored to work with Volvo Rents and the other organizations that have helped in lending their support to make Homes for Our Troops a success across the country.”
