Two California Aerial Rental Companies Merge to Form RESCO
West Coast Equipment LLC and D&D Lift, two California aerial equipment rental companies, have merged to form Rental Equipment Service Co., or RESCO. To preserve their hard-won brand recognition, each company will retain their individual name, logo and unique brand identity. The merger makes RESCO one of the largest independently owned, full service dealer in the state, which will allow both companies to better leverage their size and resources on behalf of their customers.
“We decided to merge with D&D because we want to expand our footprint throughout the state while remaining competitive,” said West Coast Equipment president Shaun Flanagan. “Our customers will benefit from the merger by having more options with the same great service and depth of knowledge that they’ve grown accustomed too.”
West Coast Equipment located in Corona, Calif., about 50 miles east of Los Angeles, was founded by the current vice president of sales Dave Robidoux in 1984. He partnered with Flanagan founder and owner of Horizon High Reach, and Jeff Davis, also from Horizon High Reach in 2006.
“I see our merger with D&D Lift as part of the continuing evolution of our company,” said Robidoux. “It’s a very positive development.”
Family owned dealer D&D Lift, based in Tracy, Calif., east of the San Francisco Bay Area, was founded in 1981 by Dave Priolo Sr., his wife Lorraine, and son Dave Jr.
“This is a great opportunity for us and our customers because we’ll be able to supply them in a more timely and efficient manner,” said D&D Lift CEO and vice president of sales George Barberick. “Where we used to be competitors, now we can pool the best of our resources and expertise. It’s a win-win-win situation.”
“This merger and expansion couldn’t have come at a better time for both companies,” added founding member and president of D&D Lift Dave Priolo. “It was great thinking on both sides.”
West Coast Equipment, LLC, established in 1984, is an independently owed, factory authorized dealer of JLG, Gradall, Skytrak, and Princeton machines. D&D Lift Inc. is a full service, independently owned, factory authorized dealer of JLG, Gradall, SkyTrak, and Princeton machines. Located in Tracy, Calif., D&D Lift Inc. was founded in 1981 by Dave Priolo Sr., his wife Lorrain Priolo, and son Dave Priolo Jr. In 1987, they expanded their family legacy to include their son-in-law George Barberick who is now the CEO of D&D Lift.
