RDO Equipment Brings First Live Auction Webcast to Proxibid

Proxibid, a leading online marketplace for buying and selling specialized assets, this week announced that the company will provide live online bidding for RDO Equipment Co.’s Year-End Reduction Auction, the first-ever live auction webcast for John Deere and Vermeer equipment dealer RDO Equipment Co.

The event will take place Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. central time at RDO Equipment Co.’s Moorhead, Minn., facility, with online bidding commencing at that time via Proxibid. Buyers can visit or to view the auction catalog or to bid.

The live auction is the first event for the companies under a new strategic partnership whereby RDO Equipment auctions will occur exclusively in Proxibid’s online marketplace.

“This partnership represents a new direction for our company,” said Doug Sorrelle of RDO Equipment Co. “We’ve chosen to work with Proxibid because we believe in providing our customers with world-class solutions. With Proxibid, we are able to reach global buyers in need of the high-quality equipment we have for sale, while leveraging the sophisticated online solution, marketing, auction consulting services and customer support provided for every event.”

RDO Equipment Co. will host regular online-only auctions in the Proxibid Marketplace, the first of which will take place in January 2013. These auctions will feature a variety of equipment from RDO Equipment Co. dealers located throughout the U.S.

“We are thrilled to welcome RDO Equipment Co. to the Proxibid Marketplace,” said Ryan Downs, president and CEO of Proxibid. “RDO Equipment Co. is respected as a leading John Deere and Vermeer dealer and we are pleased to have the opportunity to help the company reach new buyers through our trusted, global marketplace via this exclusive partnership.”

Proxibid, headquartered in Omaha, Neb., passes more than $2 billion in inventory through its marketplace annually in product categories that include heavy equipment; commercial and industrial equipment; real estate; fine art, antiques and collectibles and more.
