Able Equipment Rental has acquired the aerial work platform assets of Altitude Equipment Rentals, a Manhattan, N.Y.-based subsidiary of Platinum Maintenance Services Corp. Platinum is a provider of scaffolding, façade cleaning and restoration, and interior maintenance services to many prominent buildings in New York City.

Able, headquartered in Deer Park, N.Y., will provide equipment and services to Platinum and its affiliated companies throughout New York City under a continuing agreement as part of the transaction.

“The transaction is a good opportunity for both parties as Platinum can focus on its building maintenance business and Able can add to its aerial work platform fleet,” said Able Equipment Rental vice president and general manager Mike Cohan. “It offers customers of both companies continued top-tier experiences, more transparent pricing and no disruption of services.”

Able Equipment Rental, founded in 1996, is family owned and operated with three locations. In addition to its Deer Park, N.Y., location, Able has branches in Edison and Pennsauken, N.J.
