The Magni Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for growing a sales territory by identifying, recruiting, and collaborating with independent construction equipment providers. It is the responsibility of the RSM to research and identify potential open markets and seek out dealers to sell/rent the Magni Telehandler product line. Regional Sales managers spend a lot of time on the road, 75/25 travel both visiting existing
dealers they serve as well as seeking out new dealers. RSM’s are responsible for overall dealer success and must ensure dealers are trained in all elements of the Magni Dealer program which includes sales, service, marketing and operations.
This position reports to the Chief Sales Officer. The Southwest territory covers the following states: Southern California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. Candidate must have equipment rental background. The Magni Regional Sales Manager must reside in Southern California, near Phoenix or Las Vegas.
Job Duties
• Responsible for becoming an expert in technical and practical operation of Magni telehandlers and the Magni Solution
• Acquire skilled knowledge of the construction industry within assigned region
• Remain highly knowledgeable in all Mega projects and opportunities
• Accountable for comprehensively educating the construction industry on the Magni Solution
• Join regional trade associations; become well versed in local/regional trade publications
• Conduct job site visits and end user visits on a regular basis
• Enlist dealers to achieve full regional coverage; stocking and rental dealers, national accounts
• Manage new dealer onboarding; sales and service training, marketing and operations
• Collaborate with dealer management on go to market strategy by territory
• Train dealer sales team on Magni Selling System; ride with sales reps, participate in events
• Partner with Magni marketing team on lead generation; achieve influencer status on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook); capture Magni marketing content (pictures, video testimonials)
• Responsible for continually updating CRM with company and contact information, status of calls, opportunities to pursue
• Follow up persistently on all leads generated by marketing via online, trade shows, inquiries, etc.
• Participate in weekly sales conference call; provide daily/weekly report of all activity; generate monthly quarterly sales forecast; develop regional plan for success
Skills and Qualifications
• 5 plus years’ experience in construction equipment, rental, dealership and/or sales business
• Must have a proven track record of success working in the equipment industry
• Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess stellar presentation skills and the ability to concisely communicate
• Self-motivated and coachable; takes ownership and welcomes feedback
• Driven, hunter mentality; skilled negotiator
• Stellar time management skills
• Boundless energy, sense of humor and curiosity to learn
• Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office & Excel (required)
