Krank’s Inspeq Launches Real-Time AI Assistance for Faster Inspections and Instant Reports
Krank has introduced a new capability to its Inspeq platform designed to bring inspection reporting into the inspection itself. The new AI-Assisted Inspections feature enables inspectors to dictate observations as they work, with AI completing report fields, organizing supporting evidence and generating a structured inspection report in real time, allowing reports to be completed while inspectors are still standing beside the machine.
The approach replaces the traditional workflow of recording inspections in the field before completing reports afterwards, reducing administrative effort while making inspection data available as soon as work is finished.
Removing the reporting bottleneck
Rather than treating reporting as a separate task, AI-Assisted Inspections enable inspectors to complete reports as they work. Using voice commands, inspectors can now describe what they see as they inspect equipment, capture photographs and video, and complete inspection reports in one continuous workflow without stopping to fill in paperwork.
As information is recorded, Inspeq’s advanced AI capabilities update the report in real time, linking supporting media to the relevant inspection items and highlighting any missing information before the inspection is finished.
The latest feature provides inspectors with real-time responses throughout the inspection, confirming which fields have been completed, recording actions as they take place and highlighting any information still required. This asynchronous interaction allows information to be processed and updates returned while the inspector continues working, keeping the inspection moving smoothly as the report develops in real time.
To further reduce manual administration, the capability uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract details such as serial numbers, engine numbers, makes and models directly from equipment identification plates. Inspectors can also add or remove report fields during an inspection, allowing reports to adapt to new findings without disrupting the workflow. Multi-language voice support enables the same hands-free process to be completed in the inspector's preferred language.

According to Krank’s internal studies, AI-Assisted Inspections reduce inspection completion time by up to 45 percent, improve field-level accuracy by 32 percent and remove at least 40 percent of manual data entry through AI-assisted field completion and automation.
The feature also integrates inspection activity with the wider Inspeq platform, ensuring completed inspections, supporting evidence and identified issues are to assets, sites, work orders, corrective tasks and maintenance records without additional manual processing.
AI-Assisted Inspections streamline workflows for organisations managing equipment across asset-intensive industries, where inspection teams are often responsible for large fleets across multiple sites. In sectors such as construction, mining, equipment rental and manufacturing, reducing the time spent processing inspection data helps experienced inspectors increase capacity without adding to their administrative workload.
The capability also supports teams operating across remote or geographically dispersed locations, where delays between carrying out an inspection and completing the associated report slow the flow of information across the wider business. Completing reports as inspections take place means findings can be made available instantly, helping teams move more quickly from inspection to any required action.
