General Equipment’s 660 DIG-R-MOBILE Works for Many Landscaping and Light Construction Applications
Featuring total hydraulic operation, General Equipment Company’s 660 DIG-R-MOBILE is the solution for a wide variety of light construction and landscaping applications, such as fence installation, sign placement, deck construction and tree/shrub planting.
The 660 DIG-R-MOBILE’s hydraulic system is designed to rotate augers at the same speeds found with General’s 300 Series portable hole-digging units. This helps quickly produce clean, usable holes in a wide range of soil classifications. Additionally, the high-performance, 13-horsepower (9.7 kW) Honda GXV390 gas engine allows operation at reduced speeds, thereby increasing component life and producing less noise impact upon congested neighborhoods.
Incorporating the POW-R-PORT auxiliary tool circuit, the 660 DIG-R-MOBILE offers expanded utility and productivity on jobsites. The HTMA Class II flow (8 GPM @ 2,000 PSI) allows the 660 to power popular hydraulic tools, including small breakers, post pullers and drills.
The exclusive SNAP-LOK auger storage system allows the auger to be quickly moved into the travel position while not in operation. This configuration lowers the operator handle to a more ergonomically correct height, maximizing leverage and strength while reducing overall operator fatigue. A separate towbar quickly attaches to the mainframe. This bar combined with large highway-rated tires allows the unit to be towed at highway speeds. An integral shock absorber increases towing stability.
Augers are available in 2- to 18-inch (51 mm to 457 mm) diameter formats with standard 36-inch digging lengths. The auger side tilt capability adapts to terrain for digging vertical holes on slopes up to 20 degrees. To extend the digging depth, two auger extensions are available: a 15-inch (381 mm) plain, tube-type extension and a 36-inch (914 mm) continuous-flighted extension.
In business since 1955, General Equipment Co. is a family-owned manufacturer of hole digging, surface preparation, dust collection, plus portable ventilation and air scrubbing equipment. For more information, visit www.generalequip.com.
