According to this Equipment Watch study, factors such as per capita income, reflecting the economics of a city and state, have a lot to do with determining costs of ownership of heavy equipment. The economics of an area affect local mechanics wages, sales tax and freight. The climate also has an impact. Heavy precipitation shortens a working season, driving up ownership costs. Take a look!
