Acme Lift Promotes Richard Jewell to President and Chief Operating Officer
Acme Business Holdco (the parent company to both Acme Lift and ECCO Equipment) announced the promotion of Richard Jewell to the position of president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Jewell has been with Acme for nearly 20 years and has worked side by side with Acme chairman and CEO Woody Weld for more than three decades and has served Acme in a variety of positions including senior vice president of finance and chief administrative officer.
Weld described the qualities exhibited by Jewell that have continuously advanced his career over the years. “Rick Jewell has the experience, skills, knowledge, work ethic, moral compass, relatability, and vision to successfully complete any task he chooses,” said Weld. “Rick has shown unquestionable judgement and integrity in every facet of our company. Acme is blessed to have his leadership and ability as we continue to grow into the future.”
Jewell’s new duties will include day-to-day oversight of Acme’s war room; sales; customer relations; product support and logistics. Jewell becomes second in command to the chairman and CEO.
This newly created position will accelerate Acme’s continued growth of its earthmoving rental operations across North America, added Weld.
Acme Business Holdco, founded in 1996, is No. 39 on the new RER 100 and is the largest national earthmoving rental company in the United States, providing both retail and wholesale rental solutions to the earthmoving machinery marketplace.
Acme is based in Mesa, Ariz.
