Himoinsa Offers Two Years of Warranty, Coverage Up To 8,760 H/Yr on HGY Series Gensets
Himoinsa is offering a two-year warranty or up to 8,760 hours per year on its HGY Series 12Y generator sets. The warranty proposal is designed to provide maximum clarity, comprehensive equipment protection and optimization of operating costs in mission-critical projects, becoming a benchmark model in the sector. The coverage applies to the entire generator set — engine, alternator and control system — avoiding partial approaches by components and offering the customer a robust framework for managing their fleet with predictability.
In PRP (Prime Power) and COP (Continuous Power) applications, where the generator set acts as the main source of power or works with a sustained variable load, the warranty is valid for two years or 8,760 hours per year.
This definition makes it easier to plan maintenance, manage consumables and reduce unscheduled downtime, with a direct impact on the availability and total cost of the generator. This comprehensive approach reduces technical and financial uncertainties, aligning service, maintenance and operation under the same coverage standard.
For standby (ESP), data center (DCP) and limited-time power (LTP) applications, the generator set operates as a backup in the event of a grid failure, with limited annual use (500 hours/year), prioritizing immediate response and reliability at critical moments. Himoinsa offers the possibility of extending the coverage of this warranty for up to three additional years.
“With this warranty policy, Himoinsa aligns coverage, service and maintenance strategy so that our customers can operate with greater confidence and reliability, reducing operational uncertainty and optimising availability and total cost of ownership throughout the product's life cycle,” said Manuel Aguilera, global service director, Himoinsa.
