According to Houk, Tsurumi has tackled this issue by using white mineral oil in the oil chambers of their pumps. This type of oil is safe for fish and plants, as it does not pollute the water and assists in the well-being of the entire ecosystem, Tsurumi said.
Tsurumi’s water feature pumps are designed with efficient electric motors with 100 percent copper windings. These pumps have a low amperage draw that makes them an excellent choice for continuous operation, specifically in applications where 24-hour flow is necessary. These measures are meant to minimize energy costs, which is crucial for pond owners who want to maintain ideal conditions for their fish and aquatic plants.
Tsurumi understands that water features come in various sizes and designs. The company’s standard water feature covers a performance range of 2,400 GPH up to 12,000 GPH.
“We have seen some of our larger pumps that peak at higher than 100,000 GPH installed in some larger water features,” Houk added.
Each pump is backed by a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. Also, Tsurumi has a team of full-time engineers available during standard business hours to answer technical questions and assist with trouble-shooting.
