Designed to deliver strong chipping performance in a compact, maneuverable package, providing a right-sized option for property cleanup, landscape work, storm cleanup, municipal maintenance and light contractor work.
The chippers’ Anti-Clog Disc Design prevents gradual material buildup that can restrict flow, cause downtime and lead to service calls. Their twin feed roller system grips and pulls material into the chipper from both sides to help manage forked branches, irregular brush and the varied material commonly encountered during cleanup work.
Först has placed a strong emphasis on making the machines suitable for rental operations. The compact 6- and 8-inch wood chippers are designed to be easier to transport and position, while matching everyday rental applications better than larger production chippers. Practical service access, maintenance resources and customer operating guidance help rental teams keep equipment moving through their fleets, the press release states.
“Rental companies already understand that there is demand for chippers. What we are finding is that many operators are looking for a better experience in the smaller chipper category,” said Kenny Brock, president of Först USA. “They want a machine that performs for the customer, is straightforward for their team to hand off and maintain and is backed by the manufacturer after the sale. Through its Först Assist support approach, the company provides U.S. rental customers with parts access, technical assistance, operating and maintenance resources, warranty guidance and customer handoff materials.
Rental customers can also work directly with Först to arrange equipment demonstrations and determine which 6- or 8-inch wood chipper is a best fits their customer base and fleet.
