Renewable Lubricants Inc. has launched its new Bio-Blast Penetrant, a high-performance, fast-acting, biodegradable solution for removing rust and dirt from nuts, bolts and other frozen components.
The penetrant uses a patented blend of additives and bio-solvents that quickly soak into stuck or corroded parts without staining steel, aluminum, brass or other metals, according to the company press release.
The formula penetrates tight spaces to reduce friction and loosen rusted or stuck components without leaking into the surrounding water, soil or the work environment, making the product a more environmentally friendly option.
The product is also designed with employee safety in mind, featuring a non-flammable, non-combustible formulation.
According to the press release, Bio-Blast meets renewable, non-toxic, OSHA and ISO-1400 requirements and contains no hazardous VOCs. It also meets the EPA’s Vessel General Permit guidelines for Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants, making it suited for applications where low toxicity, biodegradable and non-bioaccumulating solutions are required.
The formula can be used on nuts and bolts, air tools, rusty chains, jacks, locks, dies, linkage cables, wire ropes, hinges, firearms, fishing reels and more.
Bio-Bast is available in 11-ounce aerosol cans, 12-ounce spray bottles, 1-gallon jugs, 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums and case lots manufactured at the company’s factory in Hartville, Ohio.
