Volvo Construction Equipment has expanded its grease range to include the new Resistant Grease 97720 GR102 (GR102) and Extreme Grease 97765 GR103 (GR103), as part of its commitment to offer customers the right grease for their requirements.
Regular greasing is one of the easiest and most effective methods of keeping construction equipment in top condition, the company said. Volvo Construction Equipment offers customers a range of high-quality greases, that are extensively tested and developed to meet the demands of Volvo machines and the applications they work in.
These new GR102 and GR102 greases further strengthen the grease program from Volvo Construction Equipment, joining the existing portfolio of Multipurpose Grease 97718 GR101, High Temperature grease and the Breaker paste.
With the introduction of its new GR102 and GR103 greases, Volvo ensures whatever its customers’ requirement, they have a grease to meet their needs, the company said.
GR102 is a lithium complex grease, which is resistant to water washout and offers protection against rust and corrosion under conditions of extreme pressure. It is designed for users working in wet operating environments, shock loading and offers extended greasing intervals.
GR103 is a premium lithium moly complex grease designed for working in heavy load applications, such as rock handling. It provides extreme-pressure performance, anti-wear protection and staying power. It is designed for extra heavy-duty off-highway and mining applications, pivot pins and heavily loaded chassis components and can also be used in automatic lubrication systems.
Volvo has developed its own set of stringent standards, which all greases and lubricants must adhere to and provides the best protection for the moving parts of customers’ machines, the company said. The grease range is developed and tested specifically for Volvo machines, securing optimum performance, minimal downtime, and extends the lifetime of the machine.
