A Kobelco SK 330 excavator could be seen at work this summer at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium, home of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs football team. It was taking part in a major structural renovation project that foresees doubling the stadium’s concourse space, additional concession stands, new suite, club and lounge areas, and a Hall of Fame to celebrate the team’s past players and coaches.

Kobelco customer George Shaw Construction was contracted to carry out ground preparation work for the $375 million project, which is scheduled for completion in 2010. The contractor, who runs a fleet of Kobelco excavators, dedicated an SK330 to complete this job, which required precision and high productivity.

Headquartered in Carol Stream, Ill., Kobelco Construction Machinery America manufactures and markets a full line of compact, mid-size and full-size excavators ranging from 1.9 to 88 tons.
