Deere to Add Production Capacity at Iowa Plant

Deere will invest $70 million to expand manufacturing capacity at its facility in Waterloo, Iowa, that makes large farm tractors. The expansion will increase the number of tractors Deere can build in Waterloo by more than 10 percent over the next 18 months because of strong demand.

Deere recently reported strong first-quarter earnings and cited growing demand for construction as well as agricultural machinery.

Deere employs about 6,000 people at the facility.
