Blastrac N.A. is forming Diamatic Management Services, a new business to coordinate and handle the management, specification writing and training for large surface-preparation projects, the company said last week.

Through its Ultra-Flor System, DMS will approve or certify contractors by way of hands-on training, through instruction and testing on the proper equipment, procedures and techniques for achieving specified grinding and polishing requirements.

“Based on demand, we’ve decided to act and create a system to connect our contractors, equipment, and owners within a network that provides unparalleled quality and repeatability,” said Steve Klugherz, Blastrac global vice president. “Our extensive Ultra-Flor program will ensure the best results for architects and owners and set standards for consistent quality in the grinding and polishing of concrete floors for high traffic areas."

Blastrac designs, engineers and manufactures equipment for surface preparation of concrete, steel, brick, stone, asphalt and other substrates. The company is based in Oklahoma City.
