Ahern Denmark Holds Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
Ahern Denmark marked its launch with an official grand opening event and ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 17.
Part of the Ahern International division owned by Don Ahern, Ahern Denmark is the exclusive provider of sales, service and spare parts for Snorkel mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers and material lifts, and Denka Lift and EuropeLift trailer-mounted lifts for Denmark.
Held at Ahern Denmark’s facility in Vejle, Denmark, the open house-style event attracted attendees including customers, suppliers, media and local officials. With a ‘celebration of Denmark’ theme, guests enjoyed local street food including Danish hotdogs, crepes and roast pork, local live music and an opportunity to tour the 800-square-meter Ahern Denmark facility and see a range of Snorkel and Denka Lift products.
Ahern Denmark was formed following Ahern International’s acquisition of the majority of KH Lift ApS on April 1, 2021. It has since invested in growing the team to 12 employees, as well as holding increased new machine and spare parts inventory for faster local customer support and has put additional service vehicles on the road to provide improved rapid-response technical support to customers across Denmark. The company is also partnering with independent service providers to bolster its customer support.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Xtreme Manufacturing and Snorkel CEO, and head of Ahern International global distribution Matthew Elvin, told attendees about the company’s long-term commitment to the market.
“Ahern Denmark is our ninth international distribution business since 2016, focused solely on the supply and support of new high-reach and related equipment,” Elvin said. “It is our commitment to the Danish market that we are here for the long-term, dedicated to becoming a trusted partner to our rental and end-user customers.”
Also speaking from the event, Henrik Skibsted, general manager, Ahern Denmark, said, “I am extremely grateful to all of our valued customers, suppliers and stakeholders who have supported us with this launch, and we are committed to exceeding expectations in all aspects of our service offering. I would also like to thank Don Ahern, Matthew Elvin and the Ahern International team for their support in opening Ahern Denmark, who have helped us put in place the team and tools to deliver world-class service, which includes fast access to new machines, spare parts and technical support, to our valued and growing customer base.”
The ribbon cutting was performed by the deputy mayor of Vejle, Dan Arnløv Jørgensen, who officially declared Ahern Denmark open for business.
