Aerial Rental Giant Riwal Names Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer

Glenn Verburg, currently country manager Riwal Benelux, a 12.5-year Riwal veteran, is taking over the role of chief operating officer.

International aerial rental specialist Riwal is repositioning some of its management staff, the company said. Glenn Verburg (pictured above), currently country manager Riwal Benelux, a 12.5-year Riwal veteran, is taking over the role of chief operating officer. Verburg “will combine his in-depth market knowledge with an international focus, aligning closely with the local teams in the Riwal countries to streamline daily operations and make the organization more agile,” the company said in a release.

Bob de Leeuw, currently responsible for digital & information technology, will support both commercial and fleet operations as chief information officer. Because of the company’s ambitions and customer centric focus, De Leeuw is improving the performance of platforms, such as the website and customer portal MyRiwal, and handling projects on e-commerce, digital innovation and predictive maintenance. 

As of January 1st, 2024, Riwal’s executive management team will consist of Pedro Torres, René Timmers, Johan van Klinken and newly appointed operating and information officers.

The Riwal Holding Group, established in 1968 and headquartered in the Netherlands, is an international rental and sales specialist of aerial work platforms, telehandlers and forklifts. Riwal is active in 14 countries, managing a fleet of approximately 20,000 machines and employing more than 1,400 staff.
