Haulotte Sales Jump 12.8 Percent in 2021
In 2021, Haulotte posted sales of €495.8 million, compared to €439.6 million in 2020, a 12.8-percent increase. The year 2021 was marked by the return to investment by rental companies in all world markets, although Haulotte and other manufacturers faced growing difficulties in sourcing components.
In North America, Haulotte posted a 43-percent jump year over year, with sales of mobile elevating work platforms jumping 52 percent. In Europe, Haulotte recorded a 13 percent improvement.
In Asia-Pacific, Haulotte achieved its best quarter of the year in Q4, but still posted a 16-percent drop in sales compared to 2020. In Latin America, in a well-oriented market in all countries, Haulotte posted cumulative sales growth of 48 percent, driven mainly by Brazil.
In 2021, equipment sales increased 11 percent. Rental activity grew 40 percent, driven by the rebound in Argentina and scaffolding. Service activities, which reached its highest level ever, grew by 22 percent.
In the fourth quarter, driven by a dynamic global market for aerial equipment, Haulotte reported sales of €140.5 million, up 24 percent compared to the previous quarter and 21 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, driven mainly by North America and Europe.
In line with previous communications, Haulotte is entering 2022 with a historic level of orders in a market that remains dynamic. In this context, despite the persistent tensions concerning the procurement of certain components, Haulotte expects its sales to grow by more than 20 percent in 2022.
