Haulotte Posts 8-Percent Revenue Jump in First Nine Months of 2017

The Haulotte Group posted third quarter sales of €106.1 million (about U.S. $124.9 million), a 2-percent increase compared to last year. For the first nine months of the year, Haulotte posted €370.7 million, compared to €343.4 million, an 8-percent hike.

The Haulotte Group posted third quarter sales of €106.1 million (about U.S. $124.9 million), a 2-percent increase compared to last year. For the first nine months of the year, Haulotte posted €370.7 million, compared to €343.4 million, an 8-percent hike.

The commercial strength of the European market was confirmed in most markets, enabling Haulotte to post a 15-percent increase in that region. The Asia-Pacific region reported stable sales in most areas. Activity levels in North America are down compared to last year, with a 6-percent drop in sales, despite delivering a favorable rebound in the third quarter. The aerial work platform business showed growth of 15 percent in the third quarter, but scaffolding sales declined.

Although the Mexican market declined, sales in Latin America grew 4 percent.

Sales of equipment and rental activity increased by 8 percent and 16 percent respectively. Revenue from service activity was similar to last year’s results.

Haulotte Group confirmed its forecast of annual sales growth of about 10 percent in 2017, and a return to a level of operating profitability of almost 7.5 percent.
