Aerial work platform manufacturer Haulotte posted consolidated sales of €133.3 million in the first quarter of 2017, compared to €115 million for the same period in 2016, a 15.9 percent boost. Excluding currency effects, the increase was 15 percent.
The strong commercial activity was driven by Europe, where sales leapt 33 percent excluding currency effect. Haulotte said that all its European markets posted strong growth. The Asia Pacific market increased by 2 percent, with dynamic growth in Southeast Asia and Oceania, but the market contracted in the Middle East. Haulotte said Latin America sales were stable year over year. Sales in North America, however, plunged 20 percent at constant exchange rates compared to the first quarter of 2016.

Based on its strong first quarter, Haulotte Group confirms its expectation to deliver sales growth of more than 5 percent in 2017.
