Three Rental Center Employees Shot at Manassas, Va., Rental Center

The man, identified as Marvin Grant, then fatally shot himself after a standoff with police.

A rental center employee shot three co-workers at United Rentals in Manassas, Va., yesterday, killing two of them. The man, identified as Marvin Grant, then fatally shot himself after a standoff with police. Grant, 37, had told a co-worker that “three co-workers are going to die.”

All three people shot by Grant were taken to a nearby hospital where two of them, Richard Lamont and Christopher Serrano, died. The third victim was reported in stable condition.

The Manassas City Police Department received a call at 7:11 a.m., the New York Times reported, reporting a shooting at United Rentals in Manassas.

No motive for the shootings has been reported.
