The American Rental Association has launched its “Prioritize Safety” monthly video series focused on essential safety tips for the equipment and event rental industry. The goal of the program is to make learning rental specific topics quick, easy and fun, ARA said. Each video is no longer than two minutes in length and has a unique animation style that spans a variety of safety topics including personal protective equipment, chemical safety and defensive driving.
After a rental center employee views the video, he or she will be presented with two questions to test their knowledge on what they just learned. The entire Prioritize Safety series is available in both English and Spanish and can be assigned to employees via RentalU, ARA’s online learning platform. Each month, a link to the new video will be sent out in an email. One can enroll by emailing [email protected] to be added to the mailing list.
The first video covers PPE, the importance of wearing it, and the consequences of not wearing it.
“We are very excited to launch the Prioritize Safety monthly video series,” said ARA director of education Lauren Watts. “These videos offer training that is easy for employees to access, take only minutes to complete, and offer an entertaining spin to make the content more engaging. We hope our members have as much fun taking the training as we did creating it.”
