Maxim Crane Works Names Two New Vice Presidents

Maxim Crane Works L.P., one of the largest crane rental and comprehensive lift solutions providers in the world, has named Larry Lis vice president of fleet management and Richard Minter vice president of pricing and sales operations.

Maxim Crane Works L.P., one of the largest crane rental and comprehensive lift solutions providers in the world, has named Larry Lis vice president of fleet management and Richard Minter vice president of pricing and sales operations.

The appointment of Lis comes as Maxim Crane is poised to invest significantly in its crane and support fleet. This position will align fleet planning, asset acquisition, and used asset sales with Maxim Crane’s key geographies and customer verticals.

“Larry’s experience and crane knowledge are critical to our success as we invest in our fleet,” said Paul McDonnell, CEO, Maxim Crane Works. “Through Larry’s leadership, we’re elevating our used equipment sales and strategically investing in new to ensure we meet customers’ needs in the industries and verticals we serve.”

Lis has more than 23 years of experience at Maxim Crane, most recently serving as the regional vice president for the Midwest region.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to lead the fleet management team at Maxim,” said Lis. “With these new investments in our fleet, I believe we are well-positioned to continue to meet customers where they are with the right equipment in the right place at the right time.”

Minter will leverage people, data, and technology to develop pricing strategies and deliver market intelligence and sales process design to increase sales productivity and drive profitable growth across Maxim’s national branch footprint.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role at Maxim Crane,” said Minter. “We believe that delivering new insights and processes to the organization will enhance the efficiency of our sales team creating long-term profitable growth for the company.”

Over his 22-year tenure at Maxim, Minter has served in various roles including vice president all-terrain division, vice president strategic development, director of sales & strategic accounts, vice president special projects, and regional controller. He also has provided a leading role in more than 17 acquisitions throughout his career at Maxim Crane.

“Richard’s tenure at Maxim coupled with his expertise in data analytics and process management is an ideal fit for this role,” said McDonnell. “Establishing this team is critical to our go-forward strategy and I am confident that Richard and his team will deliver insights and strategies that will positively impact Maxim Crane’s bottom line.”
