Holt Cat Celebrates Grand Opening of Waxahachie, Texas, Facility

The new facility fills an important gap in a convenient location south of Dallas and continues Holt Cat’s strategic expansion across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, a region experiencing growing industrial demand.

Holt Cat, an authorized Caterpillar heavy equipment and engine dealer for 118 counties in South, Central North and East Texas, celebrated the grand opening of a facility in Waxahachie, Texas, on August 10.

The new facility fills an important gap in a convenient location south of Dallas and continues Holt Cat’s strategic expansion across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, a region experiencing growing industrial demand. Holt Cat also opened a new, 79,000-square-foot facility in Anna, Texas, in November 2025.

“We are proud to unveil our newest Holt Cat location and join the business community in Waxahachie,” said Peter Holt, CEO and general manager of Holt Group. “This comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility expands our presence in North Texas and allows us to serve our customers with the equipment and support they need to help their businesses grow.”

The new location will consist of a 4,943-square-foot sales office, an 8,966-square-foot parts warehouse and a shop with 10 service bays across 16,564 square feet. The parts warehouse will be overseen by Luis Huerta, who joined Holt Cat almost 10 years ago while enrolled in Dubiski Career High School’s welding program.

“I look forward to being that same source of opportunity for the Waxahachie community by training a strong local team and being a reliable partner our customers can count on,” said Huerta.

The Waxahachie location sells, services and rents heavy equipment, trucks and trailers, engines and generators for construction, earthmoving, mining, industrial, petroleum and agriculture. Holt Cat also sells Cat machine, engine, truck and generator parts in the Waxahachie area.

Driven by population and business growth, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is one of the nation’s fastest-growing metros, according to U.S. Census Bureau data, driving the growth of nearby cities.he celebration took place at the new facility located at 550 Austin Road in Waxahachie. Speakers included Peter Holt and J.K. Baxter. A ribbon-cutting was led by the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce.
