Point of Rental has tabbed Kat Gillis to lead Record360 as the organization’s general manager. As Record360’s chief operating officer, Gillis has played a vital role in the company’s operations and success. In her new position, she’ll oversee the continued growth of the product and organization within Point of Rental.

“Having been a part of Record360’s journey, I’m excited to build on our strong foundation and drive forward with the same passion and commitment to excellence,” said Gillis. “With the new investment from Point of Rental, we’re really excited about what the future holds. We’ll be able to work on bigger features for our customers and expand the scope of what we do.”

Record360, the world’s leading mobile inspection software, was acquired by Point of Rental in February 2024. It allows businesses to create detailed digital records using photos, videos, and notes, which are time-stamped and digitally stored. Since the acquisition, its products have been integrated into Point of Rental’s rental management systems and the team has added its first AI feature, Blur Detection, which notifies users when their inspection photos are too blurry to document the condition of an item.

“Kat’s deep understanding of Record360 and its customers makes her the perfect fit to lead the team into this exciting new chapter,” said Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris. “I’m confident that under her guidance, we’ll continue to achieve great things and unlock new opportunities for growth.”

Gillis built her career in both the marketing and product operations fields, working for marketing and logistics SaaS companies Percolate and e-Courier Software. Since joining Record360 in 2019 as the company’s director of product and customer success, Gillis quickly rose to chief operating officer by 2021.
