Bob Bradshaw, a rental and equipment industry veteran who most recently was regional vice president for Genie on the west coast, died recently at the age of 70. Bradshaw worked for Genie for 22 years, starting out as a regional sales manager.

Bradshaw began his career in the equipment industry with Shepherd Machinery, a Caterpillar dealership in Southern California. He also worked for Morgan Equipment in Northern California and also was equipment sales manager for Adco Equipment, an independent aerial company in Southern California before joining Genie.

“I had the pleasure of working in the same industry as him for 17 years of my career,” said Bradshaw’s son Benjamin Bradshaw. “Bob was a second generation in the equipment business. His father, also named Bob, worked for Shepherd Machinery from 1952 through 1994, and was the used equipment sales manager during that time period.

“On January 21st my father Bob Bradshow went home to be with the Lord,” Ben Bradshaw wrote on his LinkedIn page. “My dad was a great man who treated everyone with genuine respect and friendship. He loved the equipment industry starting with Shepherd Machinery, Morgan Equipment and Adco Equipment – his intro into the aerial business and then his favorite job with Genie Industries. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in the same business as my father from 2002 to 2019 when he retired. I admire my dad for many things and appreciate the guidance throughout the years. He never made it easy and ensured we worked for everything we had. I’m going to miss talking to you every day about everything. You are my hero, my mentor and my best friend.”

Ben Bradshaw is senior vice president of sales for H&E Equipment Rentals.

Genie posted a tribute to Bob on its LinkedIn page.

After 22 years of dedicated service at Genie, Bob retired to spend more time with his loved ones. His dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to his work set a shining example for all of us and his impact will be remembered for many years to come. We will forever cherish the energy and kind-hearted team spirit he brought into his work every day. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Bob Bradshaw is survived by his wife Carol, five children -- Jason, Shannon, Andy, Kevin and Benjamin -- plus 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter and his sister. He was proceeded by his brother Ron who passed away in June of 2023, also a Genie team member.

A Celebration of Life for Bob Bradshaw will be held Friday February 16 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Eleven 22, 8133 Point Meadows Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32256. A reception will be held immediately following where people are encouraged to share memories, stories and laughter about how Bob touched your life, at 245 Nocatee Center Way, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081.
