Zhejiang Dingli Machinery Co. Increases its Ownership Stake in MEC Aerial Work Platforms
MEC Aerial Work Platforms, an industry leader in mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), announced that partner Zhejiang Dingli Machinery has increased its investment in the company. MEC and Dingli became manufacturing partners in 2016 and solidified the relationship with a minority ownership stake in 2018.
Since then, the synergies between the two companies have led to rapid growth and advances in innovation for the industry including the introduction of Micro Scissors, Leak Containment System and Xtra-Deck.
“Dingli’s manufacturing expertise and quality is truly world class and industry leading,” said MEC president David White. “We have had a great partnership, unlike any I’ve seen in my 40+ years in this industry and I am truly excited for our future together. Because we’ve been working together so long already, it is business as usual but elevated with greater synergies and working capital to achieve our mission of Better Solutions for this industry in safety and productivity.
“The MEC team you have placed your confidence in will continue to bring innovation to the industry through carefully listening to your challenges. The joining of the strengths of each company will only increase the availability of machines and faster accelerate the pace of innovation. MEC can now expand its U.S-based facilities with additional investment in a California based Research Center and an East Coast Parts Center so that we can take the MEC experience to the next level. The MEC tradition of great products, great people and great partnerships continues.”
MEC Aerial Work Platforms is based in Kerman, Calif.
