Multiquip Inc., a diversified manufacturer and supplier of products for the construction industry, is donating several of its light equipment models including a rammer, a plate compactor, and a submersible pump to Habitat L.A. in its efforts to provide affordable housing for the poor in Los Angeles County. In recent years, L.A. County has experienced a housing shortage that has spiked housing prices as well as increased its homeless population.

Multiquip is also donating two saws, one for concrete and one for tile, as well as a rebar cutter, and a concrete drill for masonry and demolition. All these products directly help Habitat LA, part of Habitat for Humanity, when building or repairing homes for families struggling to find or maintain affordable housing.

“Multiquip and its employees are eager to contribute to Habitat LA for a second year,” said Steve Cavazos, vice president of human resources, Multiquip. “We saw the impact of our donation last year and want to continue to help Habitat LA’s efforts in providing affordable housing and stability to families in our local community.”

Multiquip, based in Carson, Calif., part of the Los Angeles area, proudly supports the mission of Habitat LA as it brings volunteers, donors and community partners together to build homes, communities and hope.

Since 1990, Habitat LA has built and repaired more than 1000 homes.
