Volvo Construction Equipment

The C-series excavators feature Tier-3-compliant Volvo engines designed to deliver improved fuel efficiency. The engines have been united with intelligent hydraulics, and a more rugged undercarriage and superstructure. The operator's environment is upgraded for more comfort, more space, a better climate, better visibility, and simplified service and monitoring. Ground level access makes inspection and service convenient, straightforward and safer. In addition, centralized lubrication points and long service intervals are designed to reduce downtime.

Case

Case Construction Equipment upgrades its largest excavator, the CX800B, to its B Series line of excavators. The CX800B features increases in fuel efficiency and productivity, as well as improved operator comfort and ease of maintenance. The 178,575-pound excavator also features an electronically controlled common rail Tier-3-certified 15.7-liter Isuzu engine that delivers 532 net hp. The CX800B is available in standard and mass excavation configurations, making it suited for a variety of applications requiring heavy muscle and long reach. It also features regenerative hydraulics on the boom and arm, as well as the bucket curl, which speeds the cycle time required to get a bucket of dirt.

Hitachi Mining & Construction

The ZX850LC-3 is suited for quarries, demolition and heavy construction jobs. The pairing of Isuzu's Tier-3-certified 532-net-peak-hp engine with Hitachi's HIOS III hydraulic system has increased engine output as well as the bucket and arm digging forces. Operators can tailor machine performance to the job by selecting one of three power modes — Economy, Power or High Power. HP ensures efficient arm roll-in during deep excavation. The Hitachi HIOS III hydraulic system uses arm and bucket regenerative systems to boost front attachment speed. A boom mode switch, when turned on, reduces vibration and impact shock-loads due to less lifting or pulling of the body, increasing comfort.

Kubota

Kubota introduces the KX080-3 Super Double Boom 8-ton utility class excavator. The expandable boom adds reach and functionality to the excavator. This allows operators to work closer to the machine, as well as level wider ranges, reach further and dig deeper than an excavator with a standard boom, the company says. Features include a dumping height of just over 20 feet and a digging depth of slightly more than 15 feet. The wide leveling range and wide tilt bucket allow operators to easily level and finish on uneven surfaces. The KX080-3 Super Double Boom is equipped with a 4-cylinder, 70-hp Kubota diesel engine and an auto-idling system that contributes to significant reduction in noise and fuel consumption.
