Riwal UK Opens Branch in Manchester Area

Riwal recently opened its fourth rental center in the U.K. The new rental depot is located in Wigan, Greater Manchester.

Riwal UK, the British branch of European aerial rental giant Riwal, has opened a new rental depot in Wigan, Greater Manchester. The rental center is Riwal’s fourth in the U.K., adding to its existing branch network in Kent (London East), Bracknell (London West) and Wellingborough (Midlands).

Riwal UK’s strategy is to provide national coverage with close proximity to customers while maximizing transport efficiency. The new depot will accommodate a broad range of aerial work platforms. With its location and size of the building, the Wigan branch will be able to offer IPAF and other training courses for customers based and working in the north of the U.K.

Also, Riwal U.K.’s London East branch has moved to new premises, the company said. London East was established in April 2010 as Riwal U.K.’s second depot, and the company has quickly outgrown the previous facility. The new location has a larger Hire Desk, larger workshop with more storage and more comfortable working areas. It also has a training room enabling the company to offer IPAF and other training courses for customers working in the southeast region of the U.K.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to provide high-quality mobile work platforms for both rental and sales across the U.K., the opening of our Wigan depot provides us with an excellent location to service our customers in the Northwest,” said Tim White, country manager for Riwal UK. “This coming in the same month as the relocation of our Kent depot to a larger facility with increased yard space and workshop providing for a bigger fleet holding and room for IPAF training. As always with Riwal being able to recruit local quality industry professionals who understand the requirements of our customers has been invaluable.”

Riwal, based in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, is one of the world’s largest aerial work platform and generator rental companies with more than 1,000 employees, operations in 17 countries on three continents and an aerial work platform fleet of more than 13,000 units.
