Middle East rental giant Byrne Equipment Rental has placed an order for 166 Genie mobile elevating work platforms as part of a huge investment driving its expansion into the mobile access sector. Comprising a broad mix of Genie’s latest scissorlifts and telescopic and articulating boomlifts, Byrne Equipment Rental received delivery of an initial 34 units in January, including its first Genie Xtra Capacity boomlifts. Completing this delivery will be an additional 132 machines by the end of March 2019.
Founded 27 years ago, Byrne Equipment Rental has grown steadily to become one of the Gulf Cooperation Countries largest and most diverse rental and leasing companies, supporting customers in construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, power generators, manufacturing and event, and more. Already a major player in portable buildings and compressors, the company decided last year to invest in aerial equipment.
